Current Campaign Work: Field Organizer for Matt Dunne (Governor, VT)
"I'm working as the Southern Vermont Field Organizer on the Matt Dunne for Governor campaign. I tell people I'm like a relief pitcher entering the game in the late innings. This is my fourth race and in each case I have arrived with four to six weeks until Election Day. Fortunately, I have a good car, wireless capability, and can go anywhere on short notice. It also helps greatly that I received training from 21st Century Democrats. I got into campaign work after a fifteen year reporting career. I had the great fortune to cover the Statehouse for six years as the bureau chief for WAND TV in Springfield, Illinois. President Obama was an Illinois Senator at the time and I interviewed him several times. I also talked to him in New Orleans when I worked for WGNO-TV.
When the media landscape began to change I volunteered on a mayoral campaign in my hometown of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. When the campaign juices started flowing, I knew I was hooked and have since worked as a Field Organizer on the Mark Critz for Congress campaign. Prior to that I was a campaign manager for a candidate running for Lt. Governor of Illinois. We're in a tough race here in beautiful Vermont, but we're all feeling confident about Matt Dunne."

Current Campaign Work: Volunteer for the Hans Riemer Campaign (Montgomery County Council- At Large, MD)
"I am a volunteer for the Hans Riemer for At-Large City Council Campaign in Montgomery County, MD. Before starting my current work, I served as the Deputy Campaign Manager for the Dearich "Dee" Hunter for At-Large City Council Campaign in Washington, DC, and as a volunteer for the gubernatorial campaign for Creigh Deeds in Northern Virginia. Raised in Alexandria, Virginia, I graduated with a BA in Government at Bowie State University in Maryland, and am hoping to attend graduate school to pursue an MPA in 2011. I currently work as a Staff Assistant for the Podesta Group, where I monitor legislation for their financial services, environment, and health care sectors. I am also a volunteer in the Presidential Office of Correspondence at the White House."
