21st Century Democrats, the country's top progressive PAC, invites you to join us for a Fall Semester Internship. As an intern, you will gain real world political experience while working with progressive campaigns around the country.

Interns will be assigned to one of four departments but will get to work on projects that involve each area.

Political - The political team is tasked with working with our endorsed candidates across the country.

Communications - The communications team is in charge of our blog, new media program, and producing emails for our national listserve.

Finance - The finance team is in charge of fundraising, data entry into NGP, and donor acknowledgement and stewardship. Previous experience with NGP is a plus but not necessary.

Programming - The programming team is tasked with planning campaign training sessions as well as our speaker series.

We are seeking high-achieving students and recent graduates with a commitment to progressive Democratic values to serve in our Washington, DC, office. We offer both full-time and part-time positions and a flexible work schedule.

1) A cover letter, letting us know your availability during the fall semester as well as the department you wish to work in and your reasons for that choice.

2) A current resume.

Fall 2010 applications are due by 6:00pm on September 3, 2010. Late applications will not be reviewed.

Volunteer for Our Endorsed Candidates

To govern well, a candidate must have the enthusiasm to seek out new ideas and creative solutions and the integrity to work for the interests of every constituent. To be elected, however, candidates need much more. They need volunteers to share in their enthusiasm; volunteers who will knock on doors, post flyers, and call voters to raise money for the campaign.

21st Century Democrats works with our endorsed candidates to provide volunteers for their campaign staff. To help YOU find placement with a campaign, we'd first like to invite you to join us for a grassroots campaigning and field organizing training session, a service that 21st Century Democrats is proud to offer. Volunteering on a political campaign is a valuable experience that will remain with you wherever your career takes you. Paid positions are also available to those who have previously worked on campaigns.
